My name is Darren Bright, I established my company “Engelsmannens Antik” (trans . The Englishman’s Antique’s) When I moved from England to Sweden in 1999. I spend most of my time travelling in Scandinavia in search of decorative period antiques for the worldwide market.
My retail/wharehouse premises are called Vrigstad Antik Center and are located in a former furniture factory in a small town called “Vrigstad” , located in the míddle of the populated area of southern Sweden. Only 15 minutes drive from the country’s main “E4″ motorway (exit at “Värnamo”). We offer a full service including sourcing goods, storage , packing and shipping. Regular container shipping service to certain destinations.
I sell 80 % of my stock to the trade, over 60 % to export customers.

Under the category “översikts bilder” you will see some overview photos from the main showroom in my shop.
The items shown represent only a small selection of the goods currently in stock. New items arrive daily. I prefer to devote my time to buying and selling rather than attempting to list my entire inventory on the website. My stock is fast moving, much of what I buy is bought with specific clients in mind or to fill existing orders.

My stock consists of a broad range of goods, from primitive country furniture to mid 20th century modern. I would emphasise that the items shown are a random selection of goods from my comprehensive inventory and not a full list of all of the items available. You could call it a broad overview or just the tip of the iceberg !

The main showroom (1,000 square metres / 10,000 square feet) contains a broad range of antiques, furnishings and small items from C18th swedish primitives, Barock, Roccoco,Gustavian,Beidermier,Victorian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco and Scandinavian Mid c20th pieces. All pieces are in good trade condition.
There are 3 additional stock rooms (an additional 1,000 square metres floor space) filled with recent purchases and items in trade condition. Always a good selection of Mora clocks, painted country furniture, Gustavian pieces, period and style, Beidermier chests and sofa groups, Art deco club armchairs, c19th wall clocks, Scandinavian design furniture and lamps from 1950/60′s ,c19th english transfer ware, decorative oriental china, just to name a few typical stock items.
